The Crimson Tide has two games behind them for 2016 and now it’s time for some SEC football. Alabama will travel to Oxford, Mississippi on Saturday to take on the Ole Miss Rebels.

On Sunday afternoon, the lines came out for next weekend’s games and the Crimson Tide was favored over the Rebels by 8.5 points according to VegasInsider.com. Betting on the game has already pushed the line up to 9.5.

For this season, the Tide is 2-0 against the spread according to the same website. Alabama was a 13.5 point favorite over the Trojans in Arlington and we all know what happened there. On Saturday, the Tide covered the spread by one point with their 28 point victory over the Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky.

Alabama will have revenge on their mind and will do their part to restore order against the Rebels after dropping the last two. Of course, the Rebels won’t just lay down without a fight even though the series history tells us that things may not turn out well for the “new money” program in the SEC. Do you see what I did there?

As far as betting on this one, I don’t think I would mess with it. The last two games have come down to the end with only 12 points combined (six each season) separating the two teams after the clock his 0:00. With the offensive line having problems against WKU and considering the strong defensive front from the Rebels, it could really go either way.

Keep it here on Bama Hammer for more discussions as gameday with the Rebels quickly approaches.
