Coaches Top 25 poll: Auburn leaps Alabama to No. 3

Auburn scored the biggest victory of the week in beating Ole Miss, and that was enough to vault the Tigers past Alabama in the latest Coaches Top 25 poll at No. 3.
Auburn, which is also ranked No. 3 in the College Football Playoff rankings, beat the Rebels 35-31 but still has plenty of work to do before it can say it is playoff-bound. The Tigers have road games at Georgia, which lost to Florida, and at Alabama in the Iron Bowl.
Ole Miss' second loss in as many weeks all but drops the Rebels from playoff contention. The team also lost leading receiver Laquon Treadwell inside the final two minutes of the game to a broken leg. Such a brutal loss on two fronts for Ole Miss.
