Brothers and Harris garner All-SEC honors for their play in 2015

Although Kentrell Brothers didn't get national recognition for his outstanding play in 2015, SEC coaches surely noticed.

The senior out of Oklahoma was named as an SEC first-team selection on Tuesday. He led the nation with 152 tackles, and also set a high-mark with an average of 12.7 stops a game. Brothers also leads the country with three blocked kicks.

The statistical output -- in addition to his conference recognition -- adds further to the perplexing decision in not including Brothers as one of the 10 semifinalists for the Butkus Award. In fact, LSU linebacker Deion Jones -- one of five finalists for the prize -- is not a first or second-team SEC selection.

Harris enjoyed a true breakout season for the Tigers. He accrued 7.0 sacks and 18.5 tackles for loss. Harris continues the Mizzou streak of having at least one defensive lineman finish as a first or second-team all-conference selection for 10 straight seasons.
