BC's Flutie, Flynn inducted into ECAC Hall of Fame

Former Boston College quarterback Doug Flutie and Eagles former athletic director William J. Flynn were inducted into the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Hall of Fame as members of the inaugural class on April 17.
Flutie, who played for the Eagles from 1981 until 1984 when he won the Heisman, is most famous for his last-second Hail Mary pass that helped down the Miami Hurricanes during his final year at BC.
Flutie also won the Maxwell award (outstanding player) and the Davey O'Brien award (top quarterback). The three-time ECAC Player of the Year guided the Eagles to three bowl games.
Flutie would go on to play 22 seasons of professional football.
Flynn served 33 years as Boston College's athletic director and helped take Eagles sports to new heights, helping develop new facilities and expanded its varsity sports.
