Alabama players open Iron Bowl week by dissing Auburn players

Don't let Auburn's disappointing season fool you, every person in the state of Alabama will be up for this weekend's Iron Bowl. Considering the game is being held on The Plains only helps the Tigers' cause in the upset bid. 

Alabama may have kicked the week off on the wrong foot, whether inadvertently or not, by what they had to say Monday. First was Alabama senior standout offensive lineman Ryan Kelly:

Considering Carl Lawson was a Freshman All-American in 2013 and is arguably the best player on Auburn defense, that line is hard to believe. 

Alabama defensive back Cyrus Jones added these comments to also help fuel the fire:

Expect Auburn to throw everything they have at the Tide Saturday, as Auburn clearly doesn't fear big bad Alabama. The Tigers scored 44 on Alabama last season in Tuscaloosa despite the fact the Tide's defense was only giving up 15.7 points per SEC game heading into the 2014 Iron Bowl.

In fact, Gus Malzahn has a 2-1 coaching record (either as a head coach or an assistant) against Nick Saban in their last three matchups.
