Youngstown St. 71, Hiram 44

Damian Eargle scored 20 points, pulled down nine rebounds and tallied four blocks to go with a career-high four steals in Youngstown State's 71-44 rout of Division III opponent Hiram on Saturday.
Shawn Amiker and Kendrick Perry added 12 apiece for the Penguins, who won their 11th consecutive game against Hiram.
Youngstown State (5-4) opened the game on a 15-2 run and led 31-21 at the break. The Penguins extended their lead to 20, 46-26, in the second half after Eargle blocked a shot, then hit a jumper at the other end.
Eargle has recorded a block in 11 straight games dating back to last season and owns the Youngstown State career record for blocks with 243.
Youngstown State outshot Hiram 42.4 percent (25 of 59) to 26.2 percent (16 of 61) and dished out 19 assists, compared to eight for Hiram (1-4).
Aaron Stefanov led Hiram with eight points.
