Xavier's Jay Canty has a broken right foot, leaving the already depleted Musketeers with nine healthy scholarship players.

Canty is expected to miss at least four weeks with a stress fracture detected on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-6 freshman played guard and forward, averaging 9.5 minutes per game. He played 11 minutes during an 88-64 win over Albany on Tuesday night, scoring two points.

The Musketeers (8-3) already were missing top 3-point shooter Brad Redford, out for the season after knee surgery. They put their 30-game home winning streak on the line against Florida on Friday night.
