Wyre Forest make Rosebowl progress

BASKETBALL: Wyre Forest Flames started the season with a win in the Rose Bowl Cup against Division Two side Black Country Bears B.

Flames started with a 24 point lead in this handicap cup and finished the first quarter 38-22 ahead.

Wyre Forest then started to play some great team basketball, with Matt Law scoring two three pointers and Adam Litchfield collecting eight points in the second period to hand them a 58-30 half-time advantage. Flames continued to dominate the final two quarters, with Liam Hammond, Rhys Godber and Mike Connolly all stepping up.
