JayDee Luster's career-high 18 points led Wyoming over UC Irvine 58-48 on Tuesday night, the eighth win in a row for the Cowboys.

Luke Martinez added 13 points and four steals for Wyoming (10-1), which has matched its entire victory total of each of the last two seasons.

Luster, the nation's leader in assist-to-turnover ratio, had four assists and two turnovers and shot 3 of 5 from 3-point range.

Derick Flowers had nine points to lead Cal Irvine (2-7), while Michael Wilder added six points and 10 rebounds.

The Anteaters' Will Davis II hit a baseline jumper with 3:45 remaining to narrow Wyoming's lead to 48-44, but the Cowboys answered with a 3-pointer by Leonard Washington as the shot clock expired.

Washington's rebound on UC Irvine's ensuing possession led to a fast-break layup by Francisco Cruz to make it 53-44.
