Wright St. 74, Ill.-Chicago 70

Julius Mays had 21 points, and Johann Mpondo scored six of his 16 in overtime to lead Wright State to a 74-70 victory Saturday over Illinois-Chicago.
Mays was 6 of 18 from the field but 3 of 6 on 3-pointers. Mpondo added seven rebounds for the Raiders (8-8, 3-1 Horizon), who won their fourth straight.
Darrin Williams led the Flames (5-9, 1-3) with a career-high 22 points but fouled out with 44 seconds left in regulation. Gary Talton scored 21, matching the career high he set Thursday in a victory over Detroit.
Talton made four free throws in the final minute of regulation to force overtime. In overtime, the Raiders led by as many as six before Talton's layup made it 71-70 with six seconds left. But two seconds later, Wright State's John Balwigaire made a fast-break layup and was fouled. He made the free throw to seal the victory.
