Wisconsin's Leuer to have surgery on broken wrist

Wisconsin big man Jon Leuer will have surgery on his broken left
wrist on Tuesday and be out for the foreseeable future.
The Badgers' 6-foot-10 junior was averaging 15.4 points and
6.2 rebounds. He was also shooting 36 percent from long distance
and had been a difficult matchup due to his ability to step out and
make shots.
"Someone’s going to have to fill in for him,”
Badgers coach Bo Ryan said on Monday. "All we can do it wish him
well.”
Leuer suffered the injury in Saturday’s win against
Purdue when he fell in the first half.
This is a tough blow for Ryan, who said he isn’t
certain how long Leuer will be out of the lineup.
"Is it going to be easy?” Ryan said. “No. Are we
going to whine about it? No, that’s not allowed."
Wisconsin is 13-3 and 3-1 in the Big Ten.
