Wisconsin's coach spared a reporter after awkward question about his job status

At a press conference on Thursday ahead of Wisconsin's Sweet Sixteen matchup against Notre Dame, Wisconsin head coach Greg Gard fielded a question that he could only answer with a question of his own.

The confusion surrounded Gard's status as the Badgers head coach. Gard took over for Bo Ryan who resigned mid-season in December after 15 seasons at the helm. Watch the awkward moment in the video above or you can check out the transcript (condensed below):
