Tone Boyle scored 16 points and Wisconsin-Milwaukee used a late 8-0 run to edge Detroit 72-67 Friday night.

Anthony Hill added 13 points and a game-high eight rebounds, Tony Meier scored 12 points and Ryan Allen had 10 for the Panthers (11-11, 6-5 Horizon League), who held Detroit scoreless for a 3:31 span in the last 4 minutes.

Ray McCallum's 16 points led the Titans (11-11, 5-5). Chris Blake scored 15 points, Chase Simon added 13 and Eli Holman had 10 points and five blocked shots.

Blake's free throw with 4:02 left put Detroit ahead 63-60, but then the Panthers ran off eight straight points - four by Kaylon Williams - for a 68-63 lead. McCallum ended the spurt with two free throws that cut it to 68-65 with 31 seconds left, but that was as close as the Titans could get.

The victory gives Wisconsin-Milwaukee a season sweep.
