Toure Murry had 15 points and nine rebounds, and Wichita State used a big second-half surge to beat Northern Iowa 73-55 on Saturday night.
Graham Hatch had 13 points and J.T. Durley and Ben Smith 10 each for the Shockers (21-5, 12-3 Missouri Valley), who remained tied for first place in the conference standings with Missouri State, which defeated Illinois State on Saturday.
Hatch's 3-pointer with 10:09 remaining gave Wichita State a 53-47 lead and ignited a 23-1 run in a span of 8:15.
Murry had seven points and hit a 3-pointer during the surge. Meanwhile, the Panthers (18-9, 9-6) went 0 for 9 from the floor and committed four turnovers.
Kwadzo Ahelegbe scored 15 points and Johnny Moran added 10 points and eight rebounds for Northern Iowa, which has lost three straight without leading rebounder Lucas O'Rear, who suffered an season-ending ankle fracture in a win against Illinois State on Feb. 2.
The Shockers are 7-0 in conference road games, with each victory by double digits.
