Wichita St. 61, Bradley 41

Ben Smith scored 14 of his 16 points in the second half to help Wichita State cruise past Bradley 61-41 Saturday.
The Shockers (18-4, 9-2) maintained second place in the Missouri Valley Conference, while the Braves (6-16, 0-11) lost their 11th straight game, the second-longest streak in school history.
Forwards Gabe Blair (10 points and 10 rebounds) and J.T. Durley (10 points) helped the Shockers dominate inside.
Andrew Warren, the conference's leading scorer, had 15 points for Bradley.
The Braves focused on ball-control offense, often not even looking for a shot until fewer than 10 seconds remained on the shot clock.
Wichita State limited Bradley to two points in the final 7 minutes of the half to lead 30-18 at halftime. In the second half, Smith scored every point of a 14-3 run that put the game away. Smith had four 3-pointers during the stretch.
