Western Kentucky buzzer-beater tops UALR, 79-78

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) Trency Jackson's pull-up 3-pointer at the buzzer gave Western Kentucky a 79-78 win at Arkansas-Little Rock Saturday night.

Ben Dillard gave the Trojans a three-point lead with 44 seconds left by hitting the second of two free throws and Josh Hagins padded it to 77-74 by hitting the second of two with 11 seconds left.

Brandon Harris drilled a 3-pointer with five seconds left to cut the UALR lead to a point and Hagins again hit the second of two free throws to pad the lead with three seconds left.

The Hilltoppers in-bounded to Jackson, who dribbled into the forecourt and pulled up at the three-point line for the game-winner.

UALR was just 3 of 6 from the free throw line in the final minute.

Jackson finished with 20 points for Western Kentucky (16-7, 8-2 Sun Belt).

Hagins led Arkansas-Little Rock (12-12, 7-5) with 20 points.
