VMI pulls away from Central Penn 109-86

Stan Okoye scored 22 points to lead six Virginia Military Institute players in double figures as the Keydets pulled away from Central Penn College 109-86 Thursday night, snapping a four-game losing streak.
VMI (4-5), which posted its highest point total of the season, led only 46-42 at halftime.
The Knights (6-8), members of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA), still trailed by only three, at 57-54 with 15:35 left, before the Keydets used a 9-1 run to pull away.
VMI steadily built a huge cushion, taking its biggest lead at 104-75.
This was the teams' second meeting, with the Keydets winning 151-92 last season for the fourth-highest combined score in VMI history.
Michael Sparks added 16 points, Rodney Glasgow 15, Keith Gabriel 14, Quinton Upshur 12 and Nick Gore 10 for the Keydets.
Devon Dorsey had 26 points and 12 rebounds to pace Central Penn, which outrebounded VMI 49-40.
