Malcolm Delaney scored 19 points and Dorenzo Hudson added 17 as Virginia Tech routed Mississippi State 88-57 on Saturday night in the Battle at Atlantis.

The Hokies (6-4) handed the Bulldogs (7-3) their most lopsided loss of the season while snapping their three-game winning streak. Mississippi State lost to Florida Atlantic by two points and East Tennessee State by one.

Hudson missed Virginia Tech's previous game, a 79-69 win over Penn State, because of a strained right calf muscle. Jeff Allen added 12 points, Erick Green 11 and Manny Atkins 10.

The Hokies, who led 44-27 at halftime, shot 50 percent from the field (30 of 60), hit a season-best nine 3-pointers and made 19 of 23 free throws.
