Randy Culpepper made all four of his 3-point attempts and scored 24 points to lead UTEP over Western Carolina 77-65 Saturday night.
Jeremy Williams and Julyan Stone scored 11 points each for the Miners (2-1). Williams also led the Miners with seven rebounds.
UTEP built a 37-30 lead at the half.
Western Carolina (1-2) got 18 points from Mike Williams.
