Utah St. 73, Texas-Arlington 69

Preston Medlin scored 27 points and shot 6 of 9 from 3-point range to lead Utah State past Texas-Arlington 73-69 on Tuesday night.
Kyisean Reed added 13 points, all in the second half, for the Aggies (6-5), while Danny Berger had 12 points and Morgan Grim eight rebounds. The game was the second in the Athletes in Action Holiday Classic hosted by Utah State.
Bo Ingram scored 18 points and LaMarcus Reed 11 for the Mavericks (4-5).
Utah State extended a six-point halftime lead to 53-43 when Medlin hit a baseline jumper midway through the second half. Reed scored five consecutive points, four of them on two dunks, to give the Aggies their biggest lead of the game, 66-50, with 6:16 to play.
The Mavericks scored 13 points and hit three 3-pointers in the final 90 seconds to tighten the final margin.
