UNLV edges Fresno State, 75-73 in OT

LAS VEGAS (AP) Bryce Dejean-Jones hit a key 3-pointer with less than a minute to play in overtime, lifting UNLV past Fresno State 75-73 Saturday night.

Tyler Johnson hit back-to-back jumpers to give Fresno State a 72-70 lead with 1:14 remaining in overtime. Dejean-Jones answered with his 3-pointer to give the Rebels a 73-72 lead. Deville Smith and Dejean-Jones each made a free throw to stretch the lead to 75-72 with 8 seconds left. Smith then fouled Fresno State's Cezar Guerrero, who made one of two free throws. Johnson rebounded Guerrero's second free throw attempt, but was not able to get off a shot as time expired.

Khem Birch scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead UNLV (13-7, 4-3 Mountain West). Smith scored 17 points and Dejean-Jones added 10.

Guerrero scored 18 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead Fresno State (8-13, 1-7). Paul Watson scored 17 points and Johnson added 14.
