North Carolina's Travis Wear is out indefinitely with an ankle
injury.
The school says the 6-foot-10 freshman sprained his left
ankle when he landed on a teammate's foot while grabbing a rebound
during Tuesday's practice. X-rays showed no fracture, but Wear is
on crutches and will miss Wednesday night's game against rival
Duke.
Wear is averaging about five points and four rebounds off the
bench. He had become the first frontcourt player off the bench
since 7-footer Tyler Zeller went down last month with a stress
fracture in his foot.
Wear and his brother, David, are believed to be the first
twins to play together in the storied program's history.
