CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) North Carolina freshman Joel Berry II will miss Saturday's game against Georgia Tech.

Team spokesman Steve Kirschner said the reserve point guard has a stomach illness, announcing his status about 30 minutes before tipoff.

Berry had recently returned from a seven-game absence due to a groin injury, tallying eight points and six assists in last weekend's loss to Pittsburgh then five assists and one turnover in Wednesday's loss to No. 4 Duke.

The No. 15 Tar Heels (18-8, 8-5 Atlantic Coast Conference) have lost four of five. The Tar Heels are playing their first home game in nearly three weeks against the Yellow Jackets.
