Jaron Lane scored 23 points and UNC Asheville shot 50 percent (25 of 50) from the field as the Bulldogs beat Presbyterian 66-58 on Saturday night.

Presbyterian cut the Bulldogs' nine-point halftime lead to four, 46-42, behind two Khalid Mutakabbir free throws with 9:06 left to play.

However, UNC Asheville used a 12-2 run to jump ahead 58-44 and seal the win.

Presbyterian (8-11, 2-7 Big South Conference) held a slim lead throughout the first 10 minutes of the game but wouldn't get any closer than two after the Bulldogs took their first lead with 10:47 left in the first half.

UNC Asheville (14-7, 9-1) dished out 16 assists, compared to just six for Presbyterian, and recorded 11 steals.

Pierre Miller led Presbyterian with 18 points, scoring all of his points on 3-pointers. Al'Lonzo Coleman added 12 points and 13 boards for the Blue Hose, who have lost five straight.
