UMass hangs banner in honor of John Calipari

On Wednesday night, UMass honored the 1996 Final Four team and its coach, John Calipari.

As part of the ceremony, the university unveiled a banner for the former head coach which will hang inside the Mullins Center alongside the retired jerseys of Julius Erving, Marcus Camby and Lou Roe.

Calipari began his head coaching career at UMass and spent eight seasons in Amherst before accepting the New Jersey Nets vacancy at the end of the 1995-96 season.
