UCF 78, Houston 71

Marcus Jordan scored a season-high 23 points and A.J. Tyler matched his career high with 19 as Central Florida defeated Houston 78-71 Wednesday night.
Jordan, a freshman, matched the playing number of his famous father, Michael, while leading the Knights (10-8, 2-2 Conference USA) in scoring for the second time in three games.
Aubrey Coleman, the nation's leading scorer, had 30 points, the fifth time this season he has tallied at least that many, to lead the Cougars (10-8, 3-2).
Jordan was one of four players to finish in double-figures for Central Florida, which limited the Houston to 25.4 percent shooting. David Diakite added 13 points, and A.J. Rompza had 10.
Coach Kirk Speraw won his 274th game at Central Florida to tie Torchy Clark for the most victories in school history.
The Knights led 66-46 with 4:29 to play then held off a furious rally by the Cougars.
