UCF 65, Tulane 62

A.J. Tyler scored 12 points, including a 3 to cap a key run in Central Florida's 65-62 win over Tulane on Wednesday night.
The Knights (16-8, 3-8 Conference USA) trailed 50-41 with 14:54 to play before going on a 15-8 spurt. Tyler's 3 put UCF ahead 56-53 with 6:15 left.
The Green Wave (12-13, 2-10) were able to tie it back up, 58-58, on Jordan Callahan's 3 with 2:13 left, but UCF answered with a 3-pointer by Isaac Sosa and four free throws by Marcus Jordan to take a 65-58 lead with 0:22 remaining.
The Knights had 18 turnovers and shot 47.7 percent from the floor (21 of 44) compared to 48.1 percent for Tulane (26 of 54), but the difference was on the foul line.
UCF was 16 of 18 from the line, compared to just 2 of 5 by the Green Wave.
Keith Clanton had 18 points for the Knights, who trailed 34-30 at the half.
Callahan led Tulane with 19 points.
