James Nunnally scored a career-high 29 points and UC Santa Barbara shot 61.7 percent in a 77-67 victory over Loyola Marymount on Wednesday night.
Nunnally hit four 3-pointers and was 11 of 14 from the field while the Gauchos (3-3) made 29-of-47 shots. Orlando Johnson added 11 points.
Larry Davis had six 3s and tied his career-high with 27 points to lead the Lions (3-5). Vernon Teel finished with 13 points and Anthony Ireland had 10.
Loyola Marymount trailed by seven early in the second half before pulling to within 53-52 on Teel's layup with 9:56 remaining. Nunnally then took over, leading an 18-0 run. He scored 13 of the next 16 points and assisted on Jordan Weiner's 3-pointer.
