Derrick Strings came off the bench to score a career-high 17 points, leading four UC Irvine players in double figures in a 77-56 victory over winless Marist on Saturday night.

The Anteaters (3-3) cruised to a 32-20 halftime advantage and led by as many as 24 in the second half.

Darren Moore had 15 points and four steals, Patrick Rembert scored 12 points and Pavol Losonsky chipped in 11 for UC Irvine, which shot 45.3 percent (24 of 53) from the field.

The Red Foxes (0-6), playing their first home game of the year, still couldn't get into the win column in a return game of last season's ESPNU BracketBusters contest, which UC Irvine won 66-65.
