UC Davis 78, CS Northridge 66

Ryan Sypkens scored 22 points and Eddie Miller had 21 to lift UC Davis past Cal State Northridge 78-66 on Thursday night.
Miller led the charge early, making 3 3-pointers and scoring 11 points as the Aggies (10-19, 4-11 Big West) raced out to a 22-8 lead. UC Davis made 6 of 8 3-pointers during the run and went on to build a 40-33 halftime advantage.
Rashaun McLemore led the Matadors (12-17, 8-7 Big West) with 26 points. His 3-pointer with 4:55 remaining pulled the Matadors to within 64-59, the closest they could get down the stretch.
UC Davis converted 10 of 12 free throws in the final 2 minutes to seal it.
The win snaps a six-game losing streak in Big West play for the Aggies, who earned a split with the Matadors in their two meetings this season.
