Jamarr Sanders scored 19 points to lead a balanced scoring attack as UAB defeated Arkansas 70-65 in overtime Friday night.
Also in double figures for the Blazers (4-1) were Ovie Soko with 17 points, Cameron Moore 14, Aaron Johnson 10 and Robert Williams 10.
Delvon Johnson led Arkansas (3-1) with 18 points. Jeff Peterson, who hit a 3-pointer with a half-second left to force overtime, added 13. Rotnei Clarke and Julysses Nobles scored 10 each.
UAB blew a 55-48 lead in the final minute of regulation but jumped to a 62-57 lead in overtime, and Arkansas could only get as close a three points.
The Blazers beat the Razorbacks for the second straight year. Last season, UAB won 73-72 on a dunk with a second left.
