Tulsa beats UTSA in overtime 80-75

Steven Idlet scored 15 points and snagged 9 rebounds as Tulsa came back to send the game to overtime in a thrilling victory over UTSA 80-75 Saturday night.

With Tulsa (5-6) trailing UTSA by four with 26 seconds left, Jordan Clarkson nailed a jumper to get the Golden Hurricane within two points. Following a turnover, Tulsa's Eric McClellan scored on a lay-up to tie the game at 68, ensuring overtime.

Tulsa went 7 for 7 from the free throw line overtime's final minute to turn a one-point deficit into a five-point win.

UTSA (4-4) was undone by poor free throw shooting, making 16 on 26 attempts. LaMarcus Reed of UTSA led all scorers with 20 points.

The Roadrunners shot 62.5 from 3-point range in the second half, enabling them to match Tulsa's balanced offensive attack in which five players scored in double figures.

Tulsa snapped a four-game losing streak.
