Tulsa basketball gets 10 national TV games this season

Tulsa's basketball team will be featured 10 times in national television games this season. Four of the games will be shown on one of the ESPN networks, while six others will be shown on the CBS College Sports network. TU's first national appearance is the Mayor's Cup game on Nov. 16 when it hosts rival Oral Roberts in an 11 a.m. contest. The game will be shown on ESPN as a part of the network's "24 Hours of Basketball." All of Tulsa's games at the 76 Classic during Thanksgiving weekend will be televised, beginning with an ESPN2 showdown on Thanksgiving evening. The Hurricane will face UNLV at 10:30 p.m. in Anaheim. The Friday and Sunday games will be shown on an ESPN network. Tulsa's nonconference game against Oklahoma State at the BOK Center on Dec. 8 will be shown on CBS College Sports. Conference USA games televised by the network include home games against UTEP (Jan. 29) and Southern Miss (March 5) and road contests versus Houston (Jan. 19), Memphis (Feb. 2) and Marshall (Feb. 23). It was also announced Thursday that Tulsa's Dec. 21 game at Wichita State will be played at the INTRUST Bank Arena in downtown Wichita.
