Tulsa 70, Rice 46

Jordan Clarkson paced Tulsa with 14 points in a rout over Rice 70-46 Saturday night.
Tim Peete and Steven Idlet scored 10 points apiece for Tulsa (11-9, 4-2 Conference USA), which shot 53.1 percent from the floor.
Rice (11-9, 2-3) led by as many as six in the first half and trailed by as many as 28 in the second as a competitive first half of play reversed itself in the latter stage. The Owls made only 8 of 29 shots in the second half, including 1 of 8 from 3-point range, and was outscored 45-24. Rice trailed 25-22 at halftime.
Tulsa's 20-2 run that began seven minutes into the second half stretched its lead to 54-33 with six minutes remaining.
Jarelle Reischel led the Owls with 11 points; he was the only Rice player to reach double-digit scoring.
