Towson edges Elon in 53-51 comeback

ELON, N.C. (AP) Mike Morsell sank the winning bucket with two seconds left to lift Towson to a 53-51 win over Elon on Thursday night.
John Davis scored 16 points and hauled in 10 rebounds, while Timajh Parker-Rivera added 14 points and 11 boards as Towson (9-11, 2-5 Colonial Athletic Association) snapped a four-game skid with the win.
Towson led by as many as nine points before the break but fell behind 48-43 late in the second half before using an 8-3 spurt to tie the game at 51 with a pair of free throws from Walter Foster with 58 seconds to go.
Elon's Elijah Bryant missed a shot at the other end that was rebounded by Foster, setting up Morsell's winning bucket. Bryant missed a 3-pointer just ahead of the buzzer.
