Rian Pearson notched a double-double, scoring 23 points and pulling down 10 rebounds, and Toledo held on to clinch a 63-61 win over Miami (Ohio) on Wednesday night.

Miami's Jon Harris knocked down a 3-pointer with 40 seconds left to bring the RedHawks within two at 63-61. But, after forcing a turnover, the RedHawks had a chance to tie but were unable to get a shot off in the final seconds. Curtis Dennis, the only other Rockets player in double figures with 17 points, tallied a steal on Miami's final possession.

The Rockets (10-10, 2-4 Mid-American Conference) never trailed in the contest, leading by six points at the break and getting the win despite being outscored 34-30 in the second half.

Julian Mavunga also secured a double-double, scoring 14 points and pulling down 11 rebounds for the RedHawks (5-13, 1-5).
