Eddie Rios scored 20 points and Texas State rallied in the second half to defeat Texas-Arlington 79-71 Saturday.

Cameron Johnson added 16 points, Travis Jones had 15 and Ryan White 11 for the Bobcats (12-12, 7-3 Southland), who overcame a 14-point halftime deficit to win their fourth straight.

Bradley Gay led the Mavericks (11-12, 5-5) with 17 points while Bo Ingram had 12.

Down 39-25 at halftime, Texas State scored the first nine points of the second half and later took a 47-45 lead on White's 3-pointer with 12:23 to play. After Texas-Arlington tied it, the Bobcats pulled away for good with a 17-2 run.

Texas State shot 60 percent (15 of 25) in the second half and held the Mavericks to only three field goals in the first 12 minutes after halftime and nine for the half.
