Aaron Urbanus scored 25 points and Brandon Provost 23 as Texas-Pan American snapped a 15-game losing streak with a 76-60 victory over Houston Baptist on Wednesday night.

The Broncs (4-21, 1-7 Great West) led wire to wire in ending a slide that dated back to a 101-94 win over Victory on Dec. 5.

Urbanus made 6 of 7 3-pointers and Provost went 5 of 9 as the Broncs shot 52.2 percent (12 of 23) from long distance.

Jared Maree had seven assists and Ruben Cabrera nine rebounds for Texas-Pan American.

Andrew Gonzalez, who came in averaging 26.2 in the conference, hit 4 of 5 3-pointers and scored 20 points to lead the Huskies (3-20, 2-6). Fred Hinnenkamp added 10 points, and Michael Moss had nine rebounds.

The Broncs bolted to a 9-0 lead. It grew to 18-5 and settled at 42-29 at intermission.

Texas-Pan American opened a 20-point lead with 12:29 remaining before Gonzalez hit back-to-back 3-pointers. The Huskies got no closer the rest of the way.
