Brandon Provost scored 27 points and had seven rebounds to lead Texas-Pan American to a 74-65 win over Rochester College in the Eastern Michigan ''Ice Man'' Classic on Wednesday night.
Provost was 8 of 13 from the field and 4 of 6 from 3-point range. Aaron Urbanus scored 18 points and was also 4 of 6 from 3-point range for the Broncos (1-2). Justin Leathers also had seven rebounds.
Rochester led by one point at halftime but could not keep pace with UTPA.
Stavros Schizas scored 24 points for the Rochester. He was 7 of 12 from the field and made 3 of 6 3-point shots. Drew Maynard added 17 points for Rochester. Dramell Hogan had 13 points. He and Maynard both had eight rebounds.
