Bo Ingram was 5 for 7 from 3-point range and scored 21 points as Texas-Arlington defeated Sam Houston State 75-63 Wednesday night to extend its school-record winning streak to 14 games.

LaMarcus Reed added 18 points and Cameron Catlett had 12 for the Mavericks (18-5, 10-0 Southland), who have beaten the Bearkats (9-15, 3-7) twice during the streak.

Marcus James led Sam Houston State (9-15, 3-7) with 24 points and 13 rebounds. Konner Tucker added 17 points and Darius Gatson had eight assists.

The Bearkats trailed led 37-28 at halftime before pulling within two early in the second half. Ingram responded with a pair of long 3-pointers to get Texas-Arlington's lead back up to 50-42.

The Mavericks shot 51 percent from the field, including 10 of 21 shooting on 3-point attempts. Sam Houston State was just 4 for 17 beyond the arc and shot 41 percent overall.
