Kevin Palmer scored 14 points and made the 3-pointer that put Texas A&M-Corpus Christi up for good in its 49-46 win over McNeese State on Saturday. Palmer's 3-pointer gave the Islanders (15-12, 9-3 Southland) a 48-46 lead with 3:08 remaining. He went to the free throw line and made 1-of-2 shots at the 1:51 mark to provide the final margin of victory. Justin Reynolds added 11 points and seven rebounds for Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Diego Kapelan made 5-of-17 field goals and scored 11 points for McNeese State (11-14, 5-7). He was 1-of-11 from 3-point range and missed four 3-pointers in the game's final minutes. The Cowboys were 1-of-15 overall from 3-point range.
