Maryland point guard Pe'Shon Howard will be sidelined up to three months with a broken foot.
First-year coach Mark Turgeon says Howard broke a small bone in his left foot. The injury will prevent that 6-foot-3 sophomore from practicing.
Turgeon said Thursday that Howard will probably miss 10 to 12 weeks.
Turgeon says Howard was practicing well after working hard in the summer.

Howard averaged 5.4 points and 3.2 assists last season as a freshman. He played in all 33 of Maryland's games a year ago and was projected to play point guard again this season.
