Tennessee State leads from the start in 72-50 win over Fisk

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Darreon Reddick and Wayne Martin each scored 14 points and Martin added 10 rebounds to send Tennessee State past Fisk 72-50 on Wednesday night.

Tennessee State (2-1) jumped out to an 8-0 lead and never trailed in the game. Keron Deshields' 3-pointer capped a 13-7 run for the Tigers with just more than nine minutes remaining before the half.

The Tigers shot 13 for 27 from the field in the first half.

Martin, who came in off the bench, played 17 minutes and was 8 for 10 from the free-throw line. The Tigers' bench outscored Fisk 41-11.

Tennessee State scored 17 points off the Bulldogs' 20 turnovers.

Walter Arnold led the NAIA Bulldogs (2-5) with 13 points.

The Tigers shot 4 for 19 from beyond the 3-point arc.
