Bryan Dougher scored 19 points as Stony Brook defeated Maryland-Baltimore County 69-59 Monday night.

Eric McAlister and Marcus Rouse each added 12 points for the Seawolves (9-12, 4-5 America East Conference), who won their second in a row.

The Retrievers (3-19, 2-7) trailed most of the game, falling behind by as many as 12 points early in the second half, before rallying to take the lead for the first time with 9:35 left when Chris De La Rosa hit two free throws to make it 53-52. It took the Seawolves nearly five minutes to reclaim the lead for good.

Dave Coley's free throws with 4:48 left put Stony Brook ahead to stay 59-58. The Seawolves finished the game on a 10-1 run.

Chase Plummer had 13 points and 11 rebounds to lead Maryland-Baltimore County, which lost its third in a row. De La Rosa added 12 points.
