Stephen F. Austin 69, FIU 60

Antonio Bostic scored 23 points and Stephen F. Austin opened up a big first-half lead in a 69-60 victory over Florida International Saturday in nonconference play.
The Lumberjacks (2-0) rolled to a 40-24 halftime lead behind Bostic and forwards Jacob Parker and Taylor Smith, then coasted home. Bostic hit three of Stephen F. Austin's 10 3-pointers while Parker, who scored 13 points, made his only 3-point attempt.
Smith, with 12 points, just missed a double-double with nine rebounds, and blocked five FIU shots. As a team, the Lumberjacks shot 59.9 percent from the floor (28 for 47).
Florida International, meanwhile, got off to an awful start. The Golden Panthers (0-2) had only two players finish in double figures: Tymell Murphy with 17 points and Malik Smith with 16. FIU shot just 35.7 percent from the field (20 of 56) and was 4 of 13 from beyond the arc.
