Akeem Gooding scored a game-high 23 points as St. Peter's won its third straight, defeating Marist 72-62 Monday night. The Peacocks (9-17, 6-10 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) led throughout, jumping to a 31-24 halftime lead and maintaining their margin through the second half. Wesley Jenkins added 15 points for St. Peter's and Nick Leon had 12. Ryan Bacon had a game-high 14 rebounds for the Peacocks. Ryan Schneider and Javon Harris each had 15 points for Marist (8-20, 4-12). David Devezin added 12. St. Peter's shot 42 percent from the field, while holding Marist to just 34 percent.
