Scott Eatherton scored 21 points to lead St. Francis (Pa.) over American University 66-61 on Saturday night, snapped the Eagles' eight-game winning streak.

The Red Flash (3-7) trailed 39-25 at halftime and opened the second half on an 11-4 run. St. Francis took its first lead, 60-56, on Ollie Jackson's 3 and an Eatherton's three-point play with less than two minutes remaining.

Eatherton was 6-for-7 shooting to lead the Red Flash, who made 48.9 percent from the field (22 of 45). Jackson finished with 14 points, going 4 of 5 from 3-point range, and Anthony Ervin had 12 points for St. Francis.

The Red Flash outrebounded American 31-25 and won their first game against a Patriot League team in five tries this season.

Troy Brewer, who was 7 of 9 from 3, led the Eagles (8-3) with 23 points. Charles Hinkle and Daniel Munoz chipped in 10 each.
