St. Francis (NY) beats Bryant 80-67

Ben Mockford led five players in double figures with 21 points and St. Francis (N.Y.) beat Bryant 80-67 on Saturday.

Stefan Perunicic had 14, Travis Nichols 12, and Akeem Johnson and Jalen Cannon chipped in with 11 apiece for the Terriers (13-10, 10-2 Northeast Conference).

Perunicic, Mockford, and Nichols combined to sink 12 3-pointers.

Bryant (2-22, 1-11) led once, 2-0, but St. Francis grabbed the lead shortly thereafter, tying the game 4-4 on a Cannon layup and jumping ahead 12-4 behind eight straight from Mockford.

St. Francis led 40-25 at halftime and pushed that advantage to 23 points, 63-40, with 7:20 left to play behind 10 straight points from Nichols.

The Terriers were 29 of 49 from the field and 13 of 29 from 3-point range.

St. Francis grabbed 14 offensive boards en route to 18 second-chance points.

Frankie Dobbs led Bryant with 26 and Raphael Jordan had 16.
