Ricky Cadell scored 24 points and St. Francis (N.Y.) defeated Central Connecticut State 75-65 on Thursday night.

Twenty-four turnovers undermined Central Connecticut State's effort to avoid what became its third loss in four games. St. Francis scored 21 points off those turnovers, while allowing 14 points off its 16 miscues.

The Terriers (14-14, 9-8 Northeast Conference) won their third in a row as Stefan Perunicic added 12 points while Dre Calloway and Akeem Bennett helped out with 10 apiece.

Ken Horton scored 27 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Blue Devils (18-10, 11-6). Despite shooting only 36 percent in the second half (9 of 25), the Blue Devils stayed within single digits of St. Francis until Calloway scored on a layup for a 62-52 Terriers lead with 6:07 to go. Nine was the closest the Blue Devils came after that.
