Donte Smith scored a career-high 22 points, including 14 in a row in the second half, to give Southern California a 60-52 win over Northern Arizona on Saturday.

The loss snapped the Lumberjacks' seven-game winning streak, their longest since 2005-06 when they won 10 in a row.

Gabe Rogers scored 20 points for Northern Arizona (7-3), including six 3-pointers. Cameron Jones added 10.

Nikola Vucevic added 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Alex Stepheson had 11 rebounds for the Trojans (6-4), who led by 12 at halftime only to see the Lumberjacks close within three points.

That's when Smith caught fire with his scoring burst that extended USC's lead to 54-40 with 5 1/2 minutes to play. He opened with a 3, then stole the ball and raced in for a fastbreak layup before hitting three consecutive 3-pointers. His five 3s in the game were a career-high.
